A new term coined by Barry James for a previously unnamed and unexplored but crucial strata of humanity.
If the term zeitgeist is familiar: A snapshot of 'The Spirit of the Age' then, although it's undeniable that this is a snapshot of something else. Something that's moving and dynamic, in which various forces interplay at a deep level that's rarely observed, commented upon of acknowledged.

But more than this the our ongoing 'Operative Philosophy'. Including all the hidden (unregarded) assumptions (priors) that frame everything downstream - our institutions, politics, choices, what 'makes sense' and how we all 'see the world'.
